(KRON) -- A Vallejo woman in her 60s was attacked and robbed Thursday afternoon, her family says. The family is now concerned for her safety. The robbery happened just outside the woman's home on Barkley Court at about 1:45 p.m. Her nephew told KRON4 she had just left the bank and was likely followed. Daly City homicide victim identified as ‘beloved father’ A video (included above) shows her walking outside before a man runs towards her and rips her cross-body purse off of her. She was bruised on her arms and upset over the incident. "It's just shocking that it would happen to one of us," said Patrick Ona, the victim's nephew. "We never really expected it and we never had any relatives that experienced that. The closest thing I had was friends' homes getting broken into, but nothing of this magnitude of violence." The purse had cash and other items inside of it. The Vallejo Police Department is investigating the robbery. Bay Area police agencies have warned about a crime trend called "bank hugging." It entails criminals targeting people leaving banks or ATMs with cash. Police advise not wearing earbuds or being distracted by your phone when leaving the ATM.
