ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC)- The City of Rochester is hosting a women's group called Empower Her: Creations and Conversations. It's held every Wednesday through Nov. 20 at the Thomas P. Ryan R-Center on Webster Avenue. The evening meetings focus on conversations among those who identify as women in our community who want to connect and grow together. Senior Recreation Specialist Jessica Privitera said she hopes it gives women a chance to take a breather and already witnessed some friendships being made. "Really just about building relationships and community connections and making sure we're really fostering those things and really pouring into one another. And allowing the community to know that there are other adults in the area that they can either rely on, or their young can rely on as well," she said. Privitera added that the group supports women socially and emotionally through group-led conversations and activities. Click here for more information and to register.
