(KRON) -- Evacuation orders were issued in Lake County due to a fire that has burned 403 acres and destroyed two homes, Cal Fire said. Forward progress has been stopped on the fire, and it is 10% contained. The fire started on a hillside off Harvey Boulevard in the community of Glenhaven. In the map below, zones highlighted red are under evacuation orders, zones shaded yellow are under evacuation warnings, and zones shaded green have had warnings lifted. There have been bigger fires in this area, but this one is dangerous because it is so close to hundreds of homes. About 4,000 people have been ordered to evacuate, Jason Clay with Cal Fire said. About 2,500 buildings are threatened. An evacuation shelter has opened at Twin Pine Casino, located at 22223 CA-29 in Middletown. Evacuation points have been set up at the Lucerne Senior Center at 3985 Country Club Drive and Old Airport Property at 6820 Old Highway 53 in Clearlake. Route 20 was fully closed from Glenhaven Drive to east of Clearlake Oaks at Route 53. It has since reopened. The fire has been named the Glenhaven Fire. Cal Fire has sent significant resources to fight the fire, including 18 engines, three helicopters and six fixed-wing aircraft. Fire departments from Napa County and Sonoma County will send crews as well.
