An FPD investigation revealed that the pedestrian was standing in the street when he was hit by the bus. The driver of the bus and the other involved cars stayed at the scene. Police do not believe drugs and/or alcohol is a factor.
The pedestrian has not yet been identified. There have now been nine fatal crashes in Fremont this year.
The crash blocked the northbound and southbound I-880 connector ramp to Mission Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
