MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) - Debuting in 1974, the 'Art of Tablesettings' exhibit brings attention to the uniqueness of tablesettings in an artful fashion from community members. Mrs. Ruth West began the exhibit by organizing tables inspired by works of art, and it has continued to be kept alive by the Rahr-West Art Museum in Manitowoc. Two Rivers hosts ‘Community Baby Shower,’ providing resources for a strong start to parenthood This year's exhibit celebrates 50 years of the iconic exhibit, as community members get to merge the visual art of a table-setting with a painting nearby. "We invite community members to come in and kind of merge visual arts with the art of placesetting," Rahr-West Art Museum Exeuctive Director Greg Vadney said. "You'll see a variety of tablescapes throughout all of the rooms of the Rahr-West that each match a painting with a tablescape." The best designs were selected by a committee, according to Vadney. The exhibit began on Friday, and will run through Sunday, November 3. For more information, visit the Art of Tablesettings website.
