FEMA added a Fact Check section to their website due to all the false information being spread. https://www.fema.gov/disaster/current/hurricane-helene/rumor-response Forecast: Tonight: Isolated evening showers mainly around and north of I-40. Decreasing clouds. Lows: Mid 60s. Saturday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low 80s. Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low 80s. Monday: Sunny. Highs in the low 80s. Tuesday: Cold front arrives in the AM! Much cooler with low humidity. Highs in the low to mid 70s. Tropics: An area of unorganized showers will move into the Gulf of Mexico later this week. There is a medium chance (50%) this develops into a Tropical Depression. Regardless of formation, this will be a Florida rainmaker. This will not head to the Carolinas. Hurricane Kirk is now a major hurricane. This is no direct threat to the United States, but large swells and high seas are likely off the Carolina coast late this weekend. Tropical Storm Leslie is between Africa and the Lesser Antilles. Leslie is forecast to become a hurricane, but this will stay out to sea. There is a tropical wave coming off the coast of Africa. This has a low chance of development, but this could change. Plenty of time to watch it. Have a wonderful weekend! Kaitlin
