CAMPO Commissioners to discuss pavement assessments and JAC funding

The next Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) meeting will take place Wednesday, Oct. 9 beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room at the Carson City Community Center.
On the agenda topics include pavement assessments and JAC funding.
— Carson City will join forces with Douglas County if an interlocal agreement is approved for the data collection, analysis and reporting of a pavement condition survey to include portions of Douglas outside the CAMPO boundary. Douglas will be responsible for reimbursing CAMPO for an amount not to exceed $37,600 for their portion of the survey.
To perform the Pavement Management Survey the cost will be just over $150,000 and will include a physical survey and conditional assessment of roadway pavement along approximately 276 roadway miles in Carson City and approximately 176 roadway miles in Douglas County.
— Commissioners will discuss proposed performance targets for 2025 for capital assets funded by CAMPO such as Jump Around Carson (JAC) and other transit facilities.
