PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- Fire gutted a home in the Montclair area early Friday morning. Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue (PWCDFR) said crews went to the 15700 block of Piedmont Pl. after emergency dispatchers received calls about a house fire. Crews confirmed that the bodies of three family members were found inside the home -- a mother and her two sons The woman was identified as 49-year-old Sameena Begum. Though the boys' names were not shared by police, officials confirmed they were 13 and eight years old. The husband and father of the victims was at work when the fire broke out. There was a family of three who also lived in a basement apartment in the home. They were all able to escape before PWCDFR arrived. Officials said smoke detectors appeared to activate. They also said there were no apparent signs of foul play. When firefighters arrived, they found flames and smoke engulfing the two-story home.
