ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care support and research takes place Saturday morning in Rochester.
Nearly 1,000 people from the Finger Lakes Region are expected to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in honor of their loved ones. Even some living with the disease will be out walking for a cure.
In Monroe County nearly 16,000 people 65 and older are living with the disease. Some 20,000 family members and friends are providing care.
The Walk takes place at Innovative Field. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The opening ceremony and walk starts at 10:00 a.m. News 8's Theresa Marsenburg will serve as emcee. Click here for more information.
