(KRON) -- Investigators released home surveillance videos on Friday showing a suspected burglary crew that targets wealthy neighborhoods around Hillsborough and Los Altos. A newer-model gray Dodge Durango that was used as a getaway vehicle was also recorded on home surveillance cameras, investigators said. One video shows a young woman carrying a box of candy up to a house's front door on September 28 just before three men broke in, police said. Investigators said they suspect that the woman, who knocks and rings the doorbell, is part of the crew. A woman is recorded by a Los Altos home's surveillance camera. (Photo via City of Los Altos) The video shows "the female suspect approaching the front door carrying a box of candy. She knocks on the door several times and waits briefly. Investigators believe this 'candy ruse' tactic was used to determine if the residence was occupied," Los Altos city spokesperson Sonia Lee wrote. After no one answered the door, three men entered the backyard and broke through a glass door, police said. Lee said a second video shows the burglars pulling up in the Durango in board daylight. Three people dart out and run toward the house. Just 47 seconds later, the trio is seen carrying items and running back into the Durango to flee the scene. The Durango had tinted windows and no license plates. Police are still trying to identify the burglary suspects. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to call the Los Altos Police Department at 650-947-2770. Individuals wishing to remain anonymous may call the Los Altos Police Department Tip-Line at 650-947-2774.
