Two inmates stabbed at Greensville Correctional Center

GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two inmates are injured after they were stabbed at Greensville Correctional Center on Thursday, according to the Virginia Department of Corrections.
The department said the stabbing occurred on Thursday, Oct. 3. One inmate was reportedly taken by Med Flight to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
The condition of the other inmate has not yet been released by officials, and the department is continuing to investigate the stabbing.
This incident follows the stabbing of two correctional officers by an inmate at Greensville Correctional Center just two days ago on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Police have not confirmed whether or not the two separate stabbings are connected.
