LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Next week, Amancio Torres-Trevino and Kaela Walker, charged with the criminal abuse resulting in the death of three-month-old Greyson Torres, are scheduled to return to court. Greyson was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries last Tuesday and succumbed to multiple blunt force traumatic injuries on Wednesday, the Fayette County Coroner reported. In a heart-wrenching interview with ABC 36, Torres-Trevino’s mother, Linda Fitzgerald, expressed her profound grief and anger: “I hope both of them rots in jail. Jail, prison, whatever. They could put a needle through their arms and I wouldn’t care right now.” She mourns the loss of her grandson, stating, “Now I can’t see my grandbaby. He’s gone and he’s not coming back.” Gloria Torres, Greyson’s aunt, shared her disbelief and sorrow, emphasizing the pain the family is enduring, “When my brother called me, I was hurt, but I was asking ‘why?’ like why did he end up in the hospital.” The family is devastated by the loss of Greyson, describing him as a happy baby whose life was tragically cut short. “He was so happy,” said Lora Villasana, another one of Greyson’s aunts, who finds some comfort in sleeping with the baby’s blanket and bear given by the hospital. As they prepare to give Greyson the funeral he deserves, his family also raises funds to cover the costs, hoping to find some closure in their immense grief. A GoFundMe account is set up for those who want to help. If you’d like to donate, you can click here.
