Voters urged to reregister following Kealia Post Office closure

HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The Elections Division is advising voters who previously held P.O. Boxes at the now-closed Kealia Post Office to re-register with a new mailing address to ensure their ballot packets are sent correctly.

Voters should note that the United States Postal Service (USPS) can only deliver ballot packets to the address printed on them and cannot forward them, even if a forwarding order is in place.
This measure is in place to validate voter mailing addresses and maintain the integrity of the voter file.

Impacted voters can re-register through the following options:
Voters with a valid Hawaii Driver’s License can use the Hawaii Online Voter Registration System at https://olvr.hawaii.gov/.
Paper Hawaii Voter Registration Applications are available for download at https://elections.hawaii.gov/register-to-vote/registration/.
Voters can also complete an application at the Elections Division office located at 4386 Rice Street in Lihue.
