WEST BEND, Wis. (WFRV) - One Wisconsin Fire Department had an extremely busy week as it responded to 86 different service calls throughout its area. The West Bend Fire Department posted on Facebook, updating the community about the high call rate, which included a multitude of serious incidents. One of the incidents included a vehicle that was on its side, potentially on fire in the 5000 block of County Highway P. The car was off the roadway, knocking down a utility pole. The wires were near the vehicle. The driver was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries. West Bend Fire Department Another report required an ambulance due to a crash incident between a car and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was in a helmet and transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Wisconsin State Patrol announces October’s Law of the Month: Pedestrian Safety An oil spill report was called in and cleaned up by the Department of Public Works. Another ambulance request was made for a person who fell off a motorized scooter, and got back up and left the area. The rider declined medical attention. Another accident was reported on Redwood St. at Sheridan Dr. One of the drivers, a minor, was emotionally distraught afterward, and the parent of the driver arrived on the scene. The second vehicle's driver denied any injury and declined transport. Other incidents included five paramedic intercepts and four smoke alarm installations. No more details were provided.
