BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Amazon announced on Thursday, Oct. 3, that they are hiring for 3,000 positions in Louisiana with the holiday season quickly approaching. Amazon will be hiring for 250,000 full-time, part-time and seasonal jobs across the United States before the busiest time of the year. According to a news release, of those positions, 3,000 positions will be available in Louisiana and 1,000 positions will be available in Baton Rouge. The company said seasonal employees earn at least $18 per hour and can get benefits like health care coverage. "We're proud to have already created more than 3,000 jobs across Louisiana. Earlier this month we also announced our largest wage increase ever for our hourly associates. Members of our front line will be getting at least an additional $1.50 per hour starting this month, which will bring their average base wage to more than $22 per hour," said Amazon in a news release.
