25-Year-Old Man Arrested after Fatal Auto Collision near Ohio Garden Road FORT WORTH, TX (October 4, 2024) – Jose Maximino Ramirez Olmedo was arrested Saturday night, after a fatal 2-vehicle collision at the 2100 block of Jacksboro Highway. First responders arrived to the scene around 9:30 p.m., near Ohio Garden Road on September 7th. Fort Worth Police report that 25-year-old Olmedo was speeding south on Jacksboro Highway when he ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle. The collision ejected the other driver onto the road, causing severe injuries. Emergency personnel rushed the victim to the hospital, where they later died. The victim’s identity has not yet been released. After initial investigations, officers arrested Ramirez Olmedo and charged him with a crime related to the death. He was booked into Tarrant County Jail with a $20,000 bond. The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is continuing the investigation and will release further details when available.
