Springfield teen arrested after hoax bomb threat
According to the Northwestern DA's office, 45-year-old David Dunn assaulted a child in Ware and had child abuse material on his computer. On Tuesday Dunn pleaded guilty to the following:
Aggravated rape of a child (4 counts)
Indecent assault and battery on a child younger than 14 (5 counts)
Open and gross lewdness
Posing a child in a state of nudity
Assault and battery
Possession of child sexual abuse material
Dunn was sentenced to 12 to 14 years in prison followed by eight years of probation.
"This case is an example of the correlation between physical sexual assault cases against children and the behavior of offenders who collect child sexual abuse material,” said ADA Yereniuk. “The rape and sexual assault of a child brings with it devastating, lifelong impacts on victims, which is why the Commonwealth believes this sentence is both just and in the interest of public safety."
