WINCHESTER, Ind. — In April 2023, Winchester police were called out to the home of Larry J. Planck III where Isabel Hernandez was found shot to death on the front lawn. Planck was arrested and charged with her murder. RELATED: Man charged with murder after Winchester woman found shot to death on front lawn But Planck's alleged crimes didn't stop at taking a life. He also ruined others' lives, in particular an underage girl whom Planck used for sexual gratification and forced to produce child pornography. Booking photo of Larry Planck III Planck's child exploitation crimes were uncovered by detectives investigating the murder of Hernandez. The evidence was found on a hard drive belonging to Planck. Now, a jury has found Planck guilty of 17 counts of child sexual exploitation crimes including the promotion of child sexual trafficking. On Oct. 3, a judge handed down Planck's sentence: 33 years in prison. But that isn't necessarily the end of Planck's prison time. Planck still faces one count of murder with a jury trial tentatively scheduled for Oct. 14. But Planck's attorney recently withdrew from the case, according to the Randolph County Prosecutor's Office, meaning another delay may be coming. Planck also still faces sexual battery and incest charges. These charges were leveled against Planck as investigators dug into the child pornography videos and images found during the murder investigation. Planck's depravity seems to have little bounds; spanning from murder to the molestation of a minor to the production of child pornography to the sexual battery of a relative. A judge noted that Planck continues to feel no remorse for his crimes. Not for the shooting of Isabel Hernandez, allegedly pregnant with his child, or for his depraved sex acts with children. "[Planck] did not seem remorseful and even smirked when some of the evidence was presented during the trial," said the judge who sentenced Planck to 33 years in prison. A lifetime behind bars is still potentially in the cards for Planck, who was only 25 years old when he was arrested for Hernandez's death. Murder charges carry a wide range of sentencing options in Indiana including a 60-year prison stint, life with or without parole and even the death penalty.
