Wisconsin deputy hailed a hero after saving choking sevenmonthold baby

BURNETT COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - A deputy in northwest Wisconsin is being hailed as a hero for saving a choking baby in late September.
According to a release, on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, Deputy Noah Barker with the Burnett County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a seven-month-old baby choking.

Through his training and experience, Deputy Barker was able to remove the plastic piece from the infant's throat, allowing the infant to breathe again.

"If it wasn't for Deputy Barker's quick and calm response, this child could have been seriously injured, or worse," stated the Burnett County Sheriff's Office on its social media.
Deputy Barker was presented with the Life Saving Award for the incident.
