ELDORADO, Wis. (WFRV) - A man from southeastern Wisconsin was arrested after an over six-mile pursuit through Fond du Lac County on I-41, which ended with four flat tires and a brief foot pursuit. According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, a deputy tried to stop a southbound vehicle on I-41 near Sales Road in Eldorado for speeding around 12:50 a.m. on Friday, October 4. Deputies say the driver, later identified as a 25-year-old man from Milwaukee, continued south and allegedly sped up after the deputy turned on their lights and siren, leading to a pursuit. Shortly after getting back on the interstate, a deputy and Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper successfully used a Stop Stick tire deflation device just south of Johnson Street. The man reportedly continued southbound but slowed down after the Stop Stick deflated all four of the vehicle's tires. After exiting on Military Road, the driver stopped and reportedly fled on foot. The 25-year-old was taken into custody with the help of a taser after a 'brief' foot pursuit. It was noted that the pursuit lasted roughly six and a half miles. The release states that the driver was arrested for: Vehicle Operator Flee and Elude Officers 2nd Degree Recklessly Endanger Safety Resisting or Obstructing an Officer Operate a Motor Vehicle with a Restricted Controlled Substance Possession of THC Cited for several traffic violations The suspect was evaluated and medically cleared at a local hospital after the incident and no other injuries were reported.
