EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Eight people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash Friday morning, Oct. 4, in El Paso's Upper Valley, according to the El Paso Fire Department. The crash happened just after 8 a.m. Friday morning on Artcraft East at Upper Valley and involved five vehicles. The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash involved a vehicle that troopers were attempting to pull over near the area. The Fire Department says six people were transported with minor injuries and two people were transported with serious injuries. All westbound and eastbound lanes are currently closed at Artcraft East at Upper Valley. The left turn lane is closed on Artcraft westbound. Artcraft West at Doniphan is also closed. Traffic is being directed off at Doniphan. Clearing time is until further notice. No further information has been released. This story will be updated once we learn more.
