(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said three suspects entered a store off Interquest Parkway, and two had concealed weapons that were thrown away while trying to run from officers. According to CSPD, on Thursday, Oct. 3 a little before 7 p.m. three suspects, later identified as 35-year-old Andrew McGee, 39-year-old Erin Roybal, and 33-year-old Denise Rohrbaugh, entered a store in the 1200 block of Interquest Parkway near I-25. Police said the suspects were surprised to see an officer inside. The extra duty officer alerted asset protection, which started watching the suspects. The officer checked the vehicle the suspects arrived in and found it was stolen. During asset protection's observation of the suspects, they believed at least one was carrying a concealed firearm, and at that time, more officers were called in to assist. The suspects started loading a cart of merchandise, and then one man exited the store and ran from the police, tossing a stolen gun as he ran. Officers contacted him and said the suspect resisted arrest leading to him being tased but he was taken into custody without injury. The second suspect entered the bathroom and officers said, tossed a loaded firearm into the men's bathroom trash bin. The third suspect was arrested after allegedly using a stolen credit card to attempt to buy over $2,500 in merchandise. CSPD said additional stolen and burglarized vehicles are being connected to the case. Police said stolen items were found inside the vehicle the suspects arrived in along with drugs. The three suspects have been booked into jail on various charges.
