BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — Heads up North Dakotans — we have another chance for the Northern Lights Friday, October 4th. The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a strong solar flare event for the weekend. They say flares of this magnitude are not common… and can cause disruptions to our satellite system.Thursday, the flare was weak, but should strengthen Friday evening and last into Sunday. To see them just head out of town, away from the city lights, and just look up.Chief Meteorologist Kenny Miller said we could see increasing clouds Friday evening which could possibly put a damper on some people's viewing experience.
