BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — If you're looking for some family fun this weekend and want to give your kids a chance to win a free bike, you're in luck! Redemption Junk Removal was started in 2022 by Jacob Dockter. He is a recovering addict and created the business with a vision to help those in need.He does this by employing recovering addicts and offering cleaning services for hoarders.They also donate their services to those who need a helping hand.Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sons of Norway Park, located on East Expressway in Bismarck, they will be hosting a special event. It's free for anyone and there will be face painting, free food, and 10 children's bikes will be given away, as well as five adult bikes. Dockter and his company host events like this throughout the year. He said it's a great way to give back."I remember when I was going through a hard time or just needed some time to have a good day. A lot of events would be happening around town and I'd show up and always felt welcomed, and I want to start welcoming other people and just giving other people joy throughout the day and fun," said Dockter.Redemption Junk Removal also hosts sock drives throughout the year where they ask people to donate socks that are then brought to the local homeless shelters.
