NEWTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The deputy who violently crashed into vehicles at a Catawba County convenience store last month has been charged, N.C. State Highway Patrol said Thursday.
On Sept. 15, troopers say Catawba County Deputy Jarrett Isaac was traveling on Sherrills Ford Road when he swerved to avoid another vehicle, then when entering the Gold Mine Store and Grill, colliding into several parked vehicles. Video and video surveillance shows the car also narrowly missing a man.
The sheriff’s office reported that it was a domestic-related call, and the vehicle did not have lights or sirens activated.
