Under light winds tonight, clouds and patchy fog will be able to roll back in, giving us a similar grey start to Friday before sunshine fights through in the afternoon. A front will be on its way tomorrow, sparking up spotty showers around the I-81 corridor during the afternoon. The rest of the region will stay dry as this front starts to completely clear things out for the weekend. Sunny skies are on tap for Saturday and Sunday, with highs reaching the upper 70s. Overnight lows will be chillier with the clear skies, dropping into the 40s and 50s. A more potent batch of cold fronts is expected early next week, bringing a proper crisp chill across the DMV. These fronts will increase cloud cover and cause a few isolated showers Sunday night into Monday morning, but that will be the only unsettled weather we see. Afternoon highs will fall about 10 degrees from Monday to Tuesday, going from the mid-70s to the mid-60s. It will get even chillier at night, with lows in the 40s, potentially pushing the 30s in the mountains. It will stay chilly and quiet into the middle of next week.
