MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Madera County man was arrested on Thursday for his participation in uploading and distributing child sexual abuse material, the Madera County Sheriff's Office says. According to deputies, 36-year-old Alfredo Lopez was arrested for possession of child pornography after law enforcement served a search warrant at his home in the 17000 block of Daley Road in Madera County. Lopez is currently in custody at the Madera County Jail. All electronic devices associated with him were seized for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation. The Madera County Sheriff's Office Investigations Bureau, along with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, and Homeland Security Investigations say the arrest was made possible by a tip they received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The Madera County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information regarding this case or potential victims to call detectives at 559-675-7770. Tips may also be emailed to MCSOTip@maderacountycom.
