BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) — Beaufort Police Department (BPD) said that officers responded to a report of shots being fired on Thursday night. BPD said they are investigating a shooting at Garden Oaks Apartments. The area is secured, but there will be a heavy police presence in the area while the police conduct an investigation, BPD said.  BPD said that there is no threat to the community.  If you have any information relating to the incident, please contact the Beaufort Police Department.
