ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque woman will spend several years behind bars after pleading guilty in two armed robbery cases. Cleo Barela was accused of more than a dozen armed robberies but the state said they were unable to prove without a doubt that she was involved in many of them. Albuquerque police investigate deadly shooting near Gibson & Louisiana As part of the plea deal, more than 30 charges were dropped including more than 15 armed robbery charges. Security footage showed Barela entering a Bob's burger on Juan Tabo in September 2023 and robbing it at gunpoint. On Thursday, Barela was sentenced to six years in prison.
