HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is fighting for his life after a Thursday night shooting in Henrico County. At about 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to the 5100 block of Nine Mile Road for report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found "signs of injury," but no victim. Officers were informed within the next few minutes that a man had arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are considered life-threatening. 8News asked police how the victim got to the hospital. A spokesperson said witnesses are still being interviewed. Investigators remain at the scene as of the time of reporting, looking into this incident. No further information is yet available.
