RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Firefighters are bringing the heat to Richmond next June with a weekend of Banana Ball at the Diamond. On Thursday, Oct. 3, the Richmond Flying Squirrels announced on Facebook that they are welcoming the Savannah-based Firefighters to the Diamond on June 20 and 21, 2025. This visit is part of the 2025 Banana Ball World Tour, which includes the Firefighters, the Party Animals, the Tailgaters and, of course, the Savannah Bananas. Banana Ball is a version of baseball that's all about entertainment. There's props, dancing and a whole list of modified rules. One such rule is that, should a fan catch a foul ball, it counts as an out. If you're interested in snagging tickets for these games, you'll have to enter The Firefighters' ticket lottery for a chance to win "the hottest tickets in town." Winning fans will be selected about two months before each scheduled game. The lottery closes on Nov. 1.
