(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — Two people have been arrested in Cimarron Hills after an investigation into suspected child sex trafficking. According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO), deputies responded on Wednesday, Oct. 2 to a report of suspected human trafficking in the 600 block of Hathaway Drive, near Platte Avenue and Peterson Road. Based on their investigation, detectives arrested Bryan Borenstein and Joanna Ferguson on charges of Attempted Human Trafficking of a Minor for Sexual Servitude, a Class 3 Felony, and Internet Luring of a Child, a Class 4 Felony. Courtesy: El Paso County Sheriff's Office The Sheriff's Office said it is aware of a video circulating on social media involving this investigation, and added "Sheriff's Office detectives have viewed the video and are working to identify potential victims and witnesses." EPSO said this investigation is ongoing, and asked anyone with information related to the case to contact the EPSO tip line at 719-520-7777. "We want to remind the public if they are aware of or witness any suspected criminal activity, for your own safety, we encourage you to avoid engaging with the potential suspect whenever possible and notify law enforcement," EPSO said.
