BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A 13-year-old girl was arrested for allegedly threatening a shooting at a school in Delano, Tulare County authorities said. The Tulare County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the Wonderful College Prep Academy on Veneto in Delano at around 1 p.m. for a reported threat to the school. Officials said deputies learned a 13-year-old from Pixley threatened a shooting at the school through Snapchat. The unidentified girl was arrested for making criminal threats. Deputies said the girl did not have any firearms at the time of her arrest. KFHC and CBCC to host No-Cost Mammogram Day for members The Tulare County Sheriff's Office encourages parents to remind their kids of the consequences of making any type of threat toward a school. "Any threat toward another student, whether online or in-person, will be prosecuted fully," officials said in a statement. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff's Office at 559-733-6218.
