ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — An experimental music festival called "Avant Garde a Clue" is coming to Rochester soon. "You can expect to see things all over the map stylistically," explained Adam Arritola, the event curator. "Definitely come with no expectations, and leave mind blown!" The festival, presented by Eclectic Overdrive, used to be known as "Rochester Experimental Week." It will feature over 250 international and "non-commercial" acts of all kinds of music, including artists from "Doom Dogs," "The Cure," "David Bowie's Tin Machine," and "Frank Hurricane." A bonus: The event is completely free. "Everybody should have access to music," said Arritola. "There's no reason music shouldn't be accessible to anyone on this planet. So, making it free was absolutely essential and I hope that everybody that has the opportunity can make it out." The week-long festival runs from Oct. 7-13 on Stutson Street in Rochester with a bonus day Oct. 14. Doors open each day at 4 p.m. You can look at the full musical lineup by clicking here.
