ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — SUNY Brockport and and Saint John Fisher University came together Thursday for the annual Courage Bowl Community Luncheon. The luncheon serves as a lead-in to the Courage Bowl XIX football game between the universities. Thursday's event hosted both football teams, cheerleaders, local dignitaries, and staff and campers from Camp Good Days and Special Times. Alayah Green was selected to be an honorary cheerleader during Saturday's game. "When Camp Good Days lets me do these amazing things, it means that they really care about all the kids and stuff," she said. "Just being a cheerleader makes me think, you don't get this chance all the time so it just feels amazing." The tradition helps raise funds and awareness for Camp Good Days and Special Times. The game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Brockport's Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.
