EEE and West Nile Virus found in Oswego County mosquitoes

West Monroe, N.Y. — Eastern equine encephalitis virus and the West Nile virus have been detected in mosquitoes in West Monroe, officials said.The Oswego County Health Department was notified by the state health department that EEE was found in two mosquito samples collected last week, county officials said Thursday.
