MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Amazon announced Thursday it is hiring for 3,000 full-time, part-time and seasonal jobs in Memphis as the holiday shipping season approaches. The company plans to hire 8,000 in Tennessee, and 250,000 across the country. Average base wage for Amazon jobs starts at more than $22 an hour, after the company says it announced its largest wage increase ever for hourly employees earlier this month.
