MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The battle continues between Mason, Tennessee Mayor Eddie Noeman, and the board of Aldermen.  At the Tipton County Justice Building, there was supposed to be a hearing to remove the Mayor however, that hearing was delayed.  Mason, TN board members looking to vote mayor out of office “The town is going to suffer for another two months just like it has,” said Chastain Jones, Alderwoman. Judge William C “Bill” Cole tells WREG there was no hearing on Thursday because of new filings and he must respond to them before the hearing. Alderwoman Shante Toliver believes it is for other reasons.  “It’s a matter of, I think like a waiting game to push it outside of the election so his position won't come back up on the term that’s coming up,” said Shante Toliver, Alderwoman. This is Mayor Noeman's second year as mayor. The Board of Aldermen has been trying to remove the Mayor since August because they believe he is not helping the citizens of Mason. Tensions flare between Mason, TN Mayor and board members "Aldermen has not received any financial statements from the town of Mason since May. So, we don’t know the status, we don’t know what we have in the bank. He won’t present anything to us," Toliver said. “Look around and see who’s really benefiting because they're not. They’re not benefiting we still have problems with our water. Our infrastructure is still messed up,” said Virginia Rivers, Alderwoman. Mayor Noeman says differently. “Everything looks good in Mason, in my case. We have everything, all the allegations against me are wrong,” the mayor said. The hearing is now scheduled for December 10.
