Voter registration deadline approaching in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana residents only have a few more days to make sure they are registered to vote in November's general election.
The state's voter registration deadline is Monday, according to the Indiana Secretary of State's office. After Monday, Hoosiers who are not registered to vote will not be able to participate in November's general election.
The office states on its website that Hoosiers have the right to vote in Indiana if:
A person is a U.S. citizen and an Indiana resident
If a person is at least 18 years of age on or before the general election
If a person is not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime
If a person has lived in the precinct where they vote for at least 30 days before the election
If a person is registered to vote.

According to the office, individuals are able to register to vote, or check their voter registration, online if they have a valid Indiana driver's license or Indiana state-issued identification card.
A number of races will be on 2024's general election ballot in the state of Indiana, including:
President
U.S. Senator
U.S. Representative
Governor
Attorney General
Various State Representative and State Senator positions
Other positions like school board trustees and judicial retention questions.
