EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - A 33-year-old man is dead after he was shot Wednesday evening, Oct. 2 at a home in Las Cruces, the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) announced in a news release. The incident happened at approximately 9:48 p.m. on Oct. 2 at a home in the 800 block of Holly Street, according to LCPD. LCPD said officers responded to a report of a shooting and found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Section believe the man and the resident of the home had previously been in a relationship, according to LCPD. LCPD said the nature of their relationship, as well as the motive for the shooting, remains under investigation. The name of the man will not be released at this time, pending notification of his family, according to LCPD.
