The following are restricted while the ban is in place: Open burning is banned on private and public lands in Teller County. Burning materials not contained in an outdoor fireplace or permanent fire ring, any explosives, fireworks, model rockets, and burning of irrigation ditches are all banned. Open burning regulated by a Teller County Burn Permit is prohibited. Individuals are still allowed to perform various burns under the resolution, only the following are allowed: Use of charcoal grills, pellet grills, smokers, gas barbecues, gas firepits, liquid-fueled gas stoves, or lanterns that are at least 10 feet away from combustible materials. Campfires contained in a permanent fire ring. A water supply or other approved fire-extinguishing device must be readily available. Smoking in areas clear of flammable or designated smoking areas.
