BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bakersfield Fire Department Arson Unit is investigating a garage fire on Flower Street Thursday afternoon. Bakersfield fire officials told 17 News the fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. at a house in the 1500 block of Flower Street. First Chavez, Huerta Leadership conference happening Thursday, Friday at CSUB The fire spread to the house, according to fire officials. The garage was fully involved in the fire and is a total loss and there was minor damage to the home.
