WASHINGTON D.C. (KGET) -- Veterans on Kern County Honor Flight #50 got to visit memorials built in their honor. They spent Wednesday visiting the Vietnam Memorial and the World War II memorials. "It's an honor to come on and see the memorial that was dedicated to all the wars and especially World War II," veteran Everett Williams said. The visits had a profound impact of Vietnam veterans who made the trip. "I put it off a long time because I knew it was going to be really, really hard on me, mentally," Vietnam veteran Ron Wells said. "But I needed to do it."
