34-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Ascarate Park EL PASO, TX (October 3, 2024) – Emmanuel Torres was killed Tuesday night, in a pedestrian crash at the 7200 block of Alameda Avenue. Dispatchers received calls near Ascarate Park on September 24th. El Paso Police reported that a male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street. Shortly after, a second vehicle, identified as a pickup truck, struck 34-year-old Torres and fled the scene without notifying authorities. Despite life-saving efforts, Torres was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. No further details have been released at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
