NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) -- An Amtrak train headed to Williamsburg and Newport News was stopped after a crash Thursday morning in New Kent County. The New Kent County Sheriff's Office confirmed the train hit a vehicle at the Riverside Drive railroad crossing. The sheriff's office says no one was hurt, but the railroad crossing will be closed for an undetermined amount of time. WAVY's Chopper 10 flew over the scene on Thursday afternoon. A message was sent to Amtrak customers that said Train 67 would continue to be held as Amtrak personnel worked with local authorities. The train eventually was cleared to head out after noon.
