FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky Department of Education released its annual school report card early Thursday, indicating mixed outcomes for student performance statewide. The report highlighted a slight increase in overall test scores for middle and high school students, but a decrease for elementary levels. In Fayette County, the results showed variability: Eleven schools achieved high ratings, represented by blue and green colors, while eighteen schools were rated medium with yellow. Notably, twelve schools received low orange ratings and four elementary schools—Arlington, Harrison, Millcreek, and Northern—were marked very low with red ratings. The full report is currently available to the public only on the Open House web page, as stated by the State Department of Education.
