KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department are investigating a shooting that left one person dead Thursday morning. Around 7 a.m., officers were sent to the area of 49th Drive and Dickinson Road on a person lying on the road. Man struck with leash at Grandview park after pepper spraying dog Officers said when they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
