(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a crash at an on-ramp of I-25 on Wednesday, Oct. 2 was the result of road rage between two drivers. CSPD said on Wednesday, at around 7:15 p.m. a rollover crash happened on the northbound on-ramp to I-25 at West Cimarron Street involving a Ford F150 and a Toyota Tacoma with a trailer causing the roadway to be blocked. According to police, the investigation revealed that the drivers were allegedly involved in road rage behavior, and added that before the crash, the driver of the Toyota had reported that the Ford driver was brake-checking them. When the drivers were getting onto I-25, the driver of the Toyota attempted to pass on the left crossing onto the shoulder of the on-ramp, before hitting the rear quarter panel of the Ford. The driver of the Toyota then tried to pass on the right, before hitting the Ford a second time and continued forward as the Ford rolled. Police said the driver of the Toyota, identified as Mark Graham, was served and released on the scene. CSPD said the driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital, but fortunately, there were no serious injuries. Police said drivers are reminded to report dangerous driving behavior and to disengage as it is better and safer to arrive at your destination than to "engage in risky behavior as though driving in Colorado Springs is a competition."
