(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — It wasn't just the daily high-temperature records on Wednesday, Oct. 2, as those were taken out easily, but the all-time (at least since we've been keeping records) October high temperature was set in Colorado Springs and tied in Pueblo. A cold front moving south across the region on Thursday morning, Oct. 3 will bring north breezes and at least some slightly cooler air east of the Rockies. Even though we drop back from the record highs of yesterday, we will still be about 10 degrees above the early October average high temperature. Mountain areas drop a degree or two, but just won't see the differences on a daily basis that the eastern plains will have. Record highs are expected again on Saturday, Oct. 5 ahead of the next cold front.
