BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An investigation into a Baton Rouge-based gang ended with several arrests and charges.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said members of the "60 Gang" Khalil Henderson, Dedric White, David Hastings and Michael Veal were already booked into the parish prison on charges including violent crimes and narcotics violations.
On Sept. 9, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Henderson, White, Hastings and Veal, charging them with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and conspiracy to intimidate a witness. An additional warrant was secured for Lance White, who BRPD identified as another member of the "60 Gang," on the same charges.
On Oct. 2, detectives, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, located Lance White at an apartment on Pampas Street, where he was taken into custody. During the execution of a search warrant, authorities discovered cash, firearms, Adderall and marijuana.
BRPD said Lance White was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, conspiracy to intimidate a witness, PWID Schedule I (marijuana), possession of a firearm with CDS, possession of Schedule II Narcotics (Adderall) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
